Come join us on a Slow Boat journey through a River Paradise others miss.

Cruise the Chao Phraya River, from the center of Bangkok to the center of Ayutthaya, or Ayutthaya to Bangkok, on the only dedicated slow boat that offers this scenic, all-water journey.

Sink into a soft seat. Enjoy a freshly cooked meal. Let the city melt behind you as you roll past riverside temples, stilt houses, fishing boats, wild nature, and peaceful villages. These are sights you can only see from the river, untouched, unhurried, unforgettable.

It feels like your own private exotic paradise. Four extraordinary hours… And then Ayutthaya!

Wander through the ancient capital of Siam, a UNESCO World Heritage Site,  and take in the temples, ruins, and living history. Stay overnight and soak it in. Return with us the next afternoon, or hop the train back the same day.

On the return trip, watch golden light fade into Bangkok’s glittering skyline. See the city from the water at Icon Siam, one of Bangkok’s most exciting evening views, then we make a
U-turn and cruise you to your final stop, relaxed and glowing.

What you’ll see along the way…

  • Iconic landmarks like Wat Arun, the Grand Palace, and Wat Kalayanamit
  • Lush countryside, orchards, and floating homes in Pathum Thani and Nonthaburi
  • Traditional Thai life unfolding on the riverbanks
  • Bang Pa-In Summer Palace and riverside temples as you approach Ayutthaya
  • Sunset views and a night-lit skyline as you return to Bangkok

Frequently Asked Questions

Great question! It’s basically a relaxing, interesting, beautiful way to travel from Bangkok to Ayutthaya and Ayutthaya to Bangkok. The tour is unguided (although Sabai Sabai staff will answer any curiosities you have), and you can kick back, enjoy the sights, food, drinks, and company!

The tour leaves Bangkok at 9AM to Ayutthaya, and leaves Ayutthaya at 3PM to Bangkok. Currently, our tours run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays – but as we grow we will expand to 7-days per week!

Please find both the Bangkok and Ayutthaya location in the footer of the website.

Each 1-way trip includes a full meal and drinks – which means if you buy a round trip ticket, you’ll get two meals! Alcohol is available at an additional cost on the boat.

Just bring yourself, some sunscreen (there are many places on the boat with total protection from the sun, though!), and anything you’d like for a comfortable ride. We’ll take care of the rest.

We recommend booking in advance – especially during peak season! With that being said, we can sometimes accept last minute bookings, so don’t hesitate to reach out or check the availability.

No worries – our boats are covered and still comfortable in the rain. If weather conditions are unsafe, we’ll reschedule or offer a refund.

We can absolutely accommodate private tours – just fill out the form here and we’ll get back to you. As for groups, the boat can fit up to 30 guests comfortably: so let’s do it!

You can contact us via WhatsApp at any time. Just click the icon at the bottom right corner of the website or you can reach us at +66 95 115 1504

I think I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best tour I ever took. Very friendly, excellent service, delicious food, lots of interesting and valuable information and good conversations. And, above all, totally amazing scenery. Nice landscape and waterfront buildings. Everything was as advertised. The trip lasted a little bit over 5 hours and was worth every Baht. 100 % recommendable !

One of the best place in Bangkok. It has its own original vibe with nice host and doggo. You can feel you dropped on strange place you never known before like fantasy dot indie game vibe. And if you worried about swing of boat : its not that bad i enjoyed it actually 한국인 리뷰가 없는것같은데 방콕의 숙소중 가장 특별합니다. 잠들기전 강가에서 들리는 파티보트의 소리와 불빛들, 바람소리가 아주 낭만적입니다. 강하게 추천

We are really enjoyed our time here on the boat with Roger. A very difference experience in Bangkok. Everything was just perfect. Highly recommended. Thanks Roger for taking care of us and gave us a lot of advice. We will be back❤️
Guest Review
We absolutely loved it! Not only is Roger a fabulous host, very kind and knowledgeable. He is always ready to help and advise on fun activities and interesting locations. This was such a lucky find for us here in Bangkok. We love the ship, the gentle rocking, the river, the lovely city views and the always interesting fellow guests. The location is great, near Grand Palace, walking distace to Khaosan party Road, the river boats and local markets. We hope to come back and stay here again! Patrik and Lucie from Switzerland

The two of us traveled to Ayutthaya with a toddler. It\’s a super relaxed and beautiful way to get there. We were provided with drinks and some food on board. The tour operator speaks German and is friendly and helpful. ☺️

Sabai Sabai was wonderful! Perfect 5 hour trip down Chao Praya from Ayutthaya to Bangkok. We wanted to experience the journey between these cities by water and the experience was amazing—beautiful scenery, perfect pace, great company. It was relaxing, and seeing the river between daylight, sunset and nightfall extraordinary!

Great way to travel to Ayuttaya for people looking for peace and laziness, which is not tiring at all, but is enjoyable, excellent service, good meals during the trip, a trip worth recommending!

Very nice relaxing experience

The boat tour was extremely beautiful! You could see many beautiful temples and other things that you wouldn\’t otherwise see. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.

We really enjoyed the trip. The captain and owner, who spoke English and German, told us a lot about the history of Thailand as we cruised along the riverbank. There is a lot to discover there, including illegal houses built on the river, temples of all sizes and designs, and sometimes the wealth of some Thai people. In between, there is good Thai food, even without spice. The fruit on offer is also particularly delicious. If you don\’t feel like walking any more after a sightseeing tour of the ruins of Ayutthaya, this is a great way to get to know Thailand in a different way, in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Arriving in Bangkok after dark and admiring the skyline is very impressive. But the tour is certainly also worth doing in the opposite direction, from Bangkok to Ayutthaya. All in all, an entertaining trip on the Chao Phraya.
